You will 

  • Assume overall responsibility for all on-site civil construction activities

  • Provide input on contracts and contractor selection

  • Manage the execution of contract work. Obtain pricing, negotiating contracts, coordinating trades, coordinating utilities, maintaining progress on site and daily action plans

  • Deliver projects on schedule, on budget

  • Provide input on monthly cash flow projections

  • Coordinate with municipalities, contractors and consultants to ensure timely completion of all inspections

  • Manage budgets, construction costs (changes), scheduling, and other daily tasks involved in new projects

  • Maintain communication with development managers and senior management to ensure understanding of construction costs, contracts, budget changes and job costs

  • Review and produce project documents and communicate effectively in an online real time environment


You have

  • A minimum of 8+ years' experience managing all phases of municipal servicing 

  • A thorough understanding of the specific needs, standards and regulations pertaining to construction within Alberta 

  • Advanced computer skills: MS Office 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD is desirable
